Blackberry Farm

21979 San Fernando Ave., Cupertino, CA 95014
Tel. 408.777.3140
open May through September; free

With nature trails, gaming areas and a swimming pool, the recently refurbished Blackberry Farm is the very definition of summer fun. The park, open May through September, includes facilities for bocce ball, volleyball, horseshoes and a nine-hole, par 29 golf course with a small putting green for practice. There are two swimming pools and a water slide watched over by lifeguards, as well as several group picnic areas with barbecue pits.

While anyone can enter the park for free, it costs $4–$8 to use the pool, $16–$19 to go golfing and $25–$500 to reserve a picnic area (there are no first-come, first-served picnic areas).

Hungry visitors can step into the Blackberry Cafe near the pool area for a bite to eat, or walk to the nearby Blue Pheasant Restaurant, which offers lunch, dinner and a full bar, and is known as a nighttime party spot for the over-40 crowd.

Blackberry Farm is not open every day, and its hours of operation vary throughout the summer, so be sure to check their schedule online before visiting. However, the public is free to use the surrounding walkways, including the Stevens Creek Trail, every day of the year from sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
